What is EPR?

EPR™ (expiratory pressure relief) is an effective alternative to continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy. When the patient exhales, the S8 device detects the beginning of exhalation and reduces motor speed to drop pressure. The patient can choose one of three comfort levels to determine the degree by which pressure will drop.

MASK-FIT SYSTEM:

• The Mask-Fit system allows you to preset a mask type, tailoring the S9 CPAP therapy to a particular mask style (Nasal, Full Face, or Nasal Pillow)

CLIMATE-LINE HEATED TUBE:

• The ClimateLine heated tube is the key technology in the Climate Control system. The ClimateLine tube includes a sensitive heating circuit, which is automatically controlled by the Climate Control algorithm to deliver a constant comfortable temperature at the mask. Located at the mask end of the tube, a sensor measures the temperature of the air leaving the tube. Unique to ResMed, this feature is only available when you purchase the S9 Escape WITH the H5i Heated Humidifier.
