Cleaning Instructions

To clean your mask please hand wash with warm water and mild detergent. Make sure that you rinse thoroughly and allow the mask to air dry completely before use. The headgear and tubing should be hung up to dry. The DreamWear is safe to use in a CPAP Sanitizer machine (i.e. SoClean 2, or VirtuClean).

Mask Disassembly

Please note that the DreamWear full face cushion is tightly attached to the mask frame. In order to dissasemble your mask you will need to squeeze the point of attachment (where the arrows line up) and then pull the frame away from the cushion. The attachment will loosen over time, making it easier to dissaemble the mask in the future.

After reading a lot of these reviews it looks like you love or you hate it and not much in between! I'm on the love train, I have a tendancy to be a mouth breather and always struggles with the nose pillow styles. Then was introduced to the full face dreamwear. Once I got it dialed in it's been great. sometimes I get some leakage but a little re-align on the face and it's fine. Great Product Randy, 11/10/2021

I like how the air tube is on top, but i have to have it so tight to try to avoid leaks, it's not that comfortable. Starts off ok but leaks by the middle of the night and it won't seal again at all. Leaks terrible thru the top of the nose area. I have the large size and it still seems to small. The mask causes pain right at the sides of your mouth almost like there i no gel padding on it. I am trying from the P10 Nose Pillows (which work great) but unfortunately I need to find a comfortable full mask as for some reason I started breathing thru my mouth when sleeping. I've worn a Dream Wear nasal mask for years since being diagnosed with sleep apnea. Based on a low oxygen levels, my pressure was increased from 9 to 14. I started having leakage, so I switched to a Dream Wear full face mask. It is comfortable, but it leaks even more. The leaky sounds wake me up, so I had to go back to the nasal mask that leaks quietly. It doesn't seem like the Dream Wear masks are made for high pressure settings. Arline, 08/14/2020

I have been using full face mask for 15 years. I went to this mask because the design allows me to wear glasses to read before falling to sleep. With that said, I finally stopped using it because the bottom is always in my mouth. I have a full beard and cannot get this mask to stop coming up to my lips. I have been a CPAP user for nearly 20 years. I have used various styles the over the nose mask for that entire time. I didn't like the full face mask nor the nasal pillows. I tend to be a mouth breather and this mask works very well! I am pleased that I know longer need a chin strap or extra pillow to keep my mouth closed.
It took me an hour to work through all the masks and figure out how to use this mask. I learned to align the nasal opening with my nostrils for best results. Dgilmore, 03/27/2020

This was a little harder to adjust perfectly, but when I used the mask fitting app on my Dream sleep cpap, I got it nailed right down. Mask is playable and comfortable, but, very hard to adjust and stop air leaking and making noises. Have to adjust throughout the night, thus getting very little sleep! What I love about this mask is that the air exhaust is on top of the head so that it doesn't blow on my arms all night when I am sleeping on my side. Nor does it hit the top of my headboard.
I also really like the fact that it butts up against my nose instead of being inside my nose or going over the bridge of my nose. No problems with leaks there.
Problems that were easily resolved:
face marks from the side tubes - I place large oval make up remover cotton pads between my face & the straps.
Since the length of the silicone straps can't be adjusted by a head strap, I just fold a washcloth I half and place it on top of my head between my hair & the top strap.It tightens it right up. I may look like Raggedy Ann but I don't get facial marks.
What needs to be adjusted by the manufacturer: my machine blows pretty hard & it causes air to leak around the seal & makes all kinds of sounds. I think the curvature of the face mask should be more curved to fit a more narrow face. Also, I tried one mask that had a memory foam face liner that molded to the face even better than silicone.
The killer for me in all full face masks is the headgear goes around the lower back of my neck. This causes me excruciating neck pain that goes down into my rotator cuffs in my shoulders. I just can't wear them.
It would be great if they could design a full face mask that could be held in place by a strap that goes around the ears Instead of the base of the neck. Please someone who designs masks give this concept a try. Thx.

I like this mask now that it fits. I just started using it a month ago, and for the first 3 weeks, it fit terribly. On my day off last week I went to the place where i was set up with everything and a respiratory therapist helped adjust it. While i need the medium face mask I need the small head gear. It makes the mask fit with an appropriate seal. I have gotten really good sleep the past few nights! susan, 10/26/2019

I have a nasal mask that I like but its not usable when I have congestion so I wanted a comfortable full face mask to use as a backup. Unfortunately this mask did not fit the bill. It takes quite a bit of time to put on because it takes a lot of fine tuning to avoid having it leak. Once you get it on, you can't move, turn, close or open your mouth, swallow, etc because just about any further movement will result in leaks. It doesn't seal well around the nose or mouth. The mouth piece is not quite wide enough, extending just to the corners of my mouth, and something in its construction puts a lot of pressure in the mustache area above my upper lip, at the point where the roots of my incisors are. Small is too small, large and med/wide won't seal at all around my nose, so I'm left with the medium that leaks less but still fails. Because the frame is interchangeable, I'll swap out the face mask with nasal pads, but I already have a P30i that works well for that, and I still need a face mask for those congested nights. The material itself is comfortable, but the mask leaks constantly where there are gaps between the mask and my face. I tried a size small for a few weeks and then went to a medium. I still have the medium and some nights it wakes me up frequently and it wakes up my husband as well. Kind of defeats the purpose. This is the Best Full Face mask I have used in the 15 years I have been on a CPAP Machine. I too like this full mask, since I go back and forth between being a mouth vs nasal breather. I think the mask would be great, if it had nose/nostril pillows like the design for non full face version. My leaks and noises mostly come from the nose holes just laying underneath and the mask material being too pliable to stay in place when I move from side to side, etc. Please make one just like it is except add the nose pillows. I was so excited to see a full facemask that didn't go over the bridge of my nose. When I use a full facemask, by nose itches constantly throughout the night! I wake up as many times from that as my snoring. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when trying this mask. The cushion like apparatus that goes under the nose works perfectly when you are positioned perfectly. Make one small move and it is no longer aligned under your nostrils or the mouth part starts leaking and making farting noises. I was hoping they would create a design very similar just with the nose pillows above the hard mouthpiece. This would allow for some movement and the pillows would remain in your nostrils? It wouldn't have to stay perfectly aligned to continue to work. Jeffrey, 08/22/2019

I was SO excited when I saw that there was finally a full face mask with the hose on top of the head! I have used the DreamWear Nasal Cushion for several years and love it. But I'm a mouth-breather, so I have to use a chin strap with it-which I don't love. I purchased the mask and was so happy I didn't have to use the chin strap anymore. However, I had the same results as many of the reviewers. No matter how I adjust the headgear, I can't sleep through the night without leaks which are NOISY. Worse than my snoring would be without the mask. The whistles and "snores" from this mask consistently woke me and my husband up. I finally had to go back to the nasal cushion and the chin strap, much to my sorry. I'd love to give this 5 stars, but it just didn't work for me at all. Hopefully, because there are so many bad reviews, they will go back to the drawing board and make a mask that actually seals and works properly. Jessica, 08/09/2019

I have been using the Dreamwear nasal mask for several years with no problems and API results have been fine. But my wife says I'm still snoring sometimes because I'm a mouth breather when on my back. So I tried this Dreamwear full face mask, and I just can't tolerate it. It leaks and makes farting sounds throughout the night, waking me up multiple times, and I can't stop the leaking once it starts. I’m a new CPAP user. I love the way the tubing is positioned on the top of your head, I never have a problem with it & I toss and turn all night. Because I’m a mouth breather I require a full face mask but the traditional ones made me anxious with claustrophobia. I did have to tighten the straps in order to keep a good seal, so I wake up with pretty significant marks on my face. I also notice some chaffing & small bumps where the mask sits on my face. I’ve been able to counter that with a good nighttime facial routine and at least wiping down my mask with CPAP wipes if not washing it every day. It’s taking some time to get used to but I’m so happy to be able to sleep soundly for the first time in years. Rebecca, 07/16/2019

I'm almost six months into this contraption. I am a side sleeper. Every morning I wake up with deep tubing lines down the sides of my face. They don't go away until mid afternoon. When I change positions at night, I wake up, readjust the mask, and get a demotion each time for a bad seal. If I sleep on my back, I get more APNEA events and a dry mouth. I wish I could design my mask. I'm a side sleeper which this is ok. for. My nose is broken out this week and so are my cheek from the plastic. I wish I could adjust the top part where air comes in because it is loose. Makes noises after 2 weeks wearing it. I only get a green thumbs up 1 or 2xs a month for good sleep . Love that the hose is on top. The fit is awe filled. Air leaks make me itchy and cold. When the pressure goes up the mask starts to fart. Itch your face and it is all downhill from there. 90 % of the time I am adjusting it again. Get no sleep. Sounds like an obscene caller when I breathe. I had SKU 1116680 for a while. It seemed fine to me but the wife said it leaked too much and making noise. The strap tends to slip allowing leakage if not tight, but then if tighter, the next morning I felt like I got punched in the nose. So I'm trying this one now and the strap design is much better for holding it in place, but I now have to lift this one away slightly to cough, or to 'catch breath' if the pressure is still ramping up, and it's seems harder to talk with this one on. For me, it still leaks slightly if not position exactly right with my facial hair, but I guess not bothering the wife as much or as often to be telling me it's leaking. I would like to see combo of these two designs for less obstruction, remain better in place when turned on side, and for ease of speaking for non mouth breathers. Dan, 12/23/2018

DreamWear Full Face Mask with Headgear: Not so good! I have a full beard and the only thing that works for me is the nasal pillow mask, the problem is when I sleep on my back I breathe thru my mouth. I tried this one and it works pretty well till around 3 am and it has lost its seal and I cannot get it back in place. I believe I would have the problem even without a beard. I've tried several full-face masks and the nose-only versions, but the DreamWear is perfect for me. I found that the top of some full-face masks would rub my eyes; DreamWear eliminates this problem. Also found the seal to be excellent. I might tighten straps a bit more than is necessary, but this allows me to change positions during the night and still never have an air leak. At first, I thought the connection on top of my head was odd, but now realize it allows me to roll over without getting tangled in hose. And I can still wear my glasses. Plus, I can sleep on my back, stomach, or sides with no interference from this mask. I'm a design engineer and this mask is a superb design. I would recommend to anyone. John Griffin, 12/14/2018

Mask does not maintain seal on movement. Requires a low air setting, and a very tight fit in order to minimize the leaks. One must adjust the mask multiple times during the night. The incoming hose at the top of the head, causes a problem with the side delivery system which means that one cannot sleep on one's side. The only thing I like about this mask is the tube connection at the top of the head. If you sleep on your back and don't flip at all... this is probably the right mask for you. When you turn your head to the side at all, it disrupts the seal. It WILL make you feel claustrophobic!! I had to pull it off quickly several times because I couldn't catch my breath. I am new to CPAP. I am claustrophobic so I tried this mask. I love it compared to the other ones that I tried. It is very light and I feel wonderful. I love that the tube attachment is on the top that allows me to move from side to side freely. I have minimal issues with leaking. My sleep scores have been great! This mask does not work on any level for me. The tube attachment on top of the head is terrible as it gets caught on the headboard. The side tubes sweat on the face and close when you sleep on the side. It is also impossible to keep the mask on under the nose any time I move my upper lip and air is always escaping. Bad

Hard to keep it with a good seal. Might be OK for back sleeper but they said it was good for side sleeper I find that not to be the case. As the air hose comes in at the top of the head it fills the air on each side of your face so as you turn to sleep on your side you’re cutting off the air on that side of the tubing that runs through that side of your face. I fine even with forcing myself to stay on my back I will wake up feeling like I I am suffocating Janelle, 10/16/2018

Nothing but problems

Leaks very easily. Would be ok for a back-sleeper who doesn't move much I suppose. My biggest problem is that it doesn't have a check-valve type flap to keep your exhaled breath from going back through the tubing, so you are continually re-breathing your air, making it feel like you are slowly suffocating. A great mask

I really like this one i got it THE DAY it was released about 4 months ago and while it took awhile to get it adjusted right it works well now i did seem fo find that it runs a little on the large side and that may be why some are having problems ive used a large everyrmthing in the past and with this i use the med pieces with no problems A great mask, 08/11/2018

I love this product...however, the design makes it so the base of the straps sits at the back of the neck and head and creates sore muscles. My neck is stiff in the mornings and after a few months I have a chronic neck muscles soreness a Dr stiffness. When I went back to my old mask and headgear it resolved. Comfortable at first but if you move at all it slips out of place. Also becaus the air tubes run down the side of your face if you lay on the side of your head you’ll hear a high-pitched squeal as the Air tries to flow through the tube. I got NO sleep. Terrible, 05/18/2018
